With SAS in LA: Behind the Scene

Last week, SAS opened their new direct route from Stockholm to LA, and this was of course celebrated at Arlanda and Los Angeles airports, and in LA with gala dinner, beach party, Business seminars and concerts. I was invited as a travel blogger to be part of the trip and I made some "behind the scene" films from the days in LA for you to enjoy.

Venice Beach in LA. It was so nice to have a touch of summer in the middle of march!

The first day was a long one, because of the time difference between Scandinavia and California. We started the day with a celebration at Arlanda airport before being pampered on Business Class all the way on our flight to LA. In LA we started out with a bike ride in and around Venice and on Venice Beach, and ended the day with a Vegan Garden Party.

The second day started early with a workout on Santa Monica Beach before we attended a Business Seminar with SAS, Visit California and collaborating partners and companies. There was even time to relax by the pool in the afternoon before the evening Gala Dinner on the top floor of Hotel Mr. C in Beverly Hills.

On the third day we visited Google LA for a seminar before we were left to explore the city on our own for a few hours. I ended up meeting friends for lunch at the Malibu Pier, an ideal location for surfing, fishing, swimming and relaxing. In the evening we met for a Beach Party at Santa Monica Beach with a barbecue, a fantastic sunset and live concert with the Swedish singer Timbuktu!

On the last day we had a couple of hours on our own, which I chose to spend at the Santa Monica Pier and beach before returning to Scandinavia.

I want to thank SAS for inviting me to this fantastic trip to LA as a part of their launching of the new route between Stockholm and LA. Getting a glimpse off all the time spent and work done to open a new route was very educational and interesting. I had no idea it took 1,5 years from the decision to open a new route was made, till the first flight is in the air!
